After 10 years running the successful Meydan Bar, Uptown Bar represents an exciting new venture by Mehmet Gökmen and Hüseyin Demir aiming to provide a different and fresh experience in the Turunç bar scene.
The range of drinks on offer is what you have come to expect from this experienced duo, but there is an increased focus on quality cocktails. These include well-known names like Daiquiri as well as Uptown 'specials 'such as Prosecco Sangria, Fruity Mojito and Porn Star Martini (you'll have to ask!).
The bar is open from 9 a.m. until the early hours. That early opening time reflects the fact that Uptown Bar has an outdoor swimming pool where guests can relax and enjoy daytime poolside service.
Uptown Bar has a games corner where darts, pool, and table football can be enjoyed. Is boasts three large-screen TVs for those important sporting events.
Uptown Bar hosts live music nights twice a a week in a variety of styles - check their Facebook page for upcoming events. Other events such as a music bingo and general knowledge quiz also run during the season - again, for the latest information, check Uptown Bar's Facebook page.
Uptown Kitchen is new for 2023.
Here, visitors can enjoy lite-bites such as sandwiches, toasties, salads, home-made burgers, chicken gujons, home-made pies, and chips! at all times of the day and night.
This service extends into the early hours to cater for hungry travellers who may have just arrived in Turunç.
As its name suggests, Uptown Bar can be found at the top end of the village; Mehmet and Hüseyin look forward to welcoming old friends and new guests and sharing their new (ad)venture with them.
