Well as usual the season came to a close ...
... and the boats took up their usual residence in the car parks.
It's been a quiet two months since then. There was a coffee cake and jumble sale mornıng for the local school in Fıdan Bar which raised over 1,000 lira.
Oscar's souvenirs have moved up into the Culture Stock shop and Hassan Turkish Delight has taken over Oscar's space and will be extending his stock.
Körfez Restaurant have removed their patio roof in anticipation of a new electric canopy arriving and have also taken down the front wall. The "breakers" either side of the canal have also been dug up we think with a view to extending Körfez beach. We will wait and see on that one.
For those of you who didn't visit this year the "keep-fit" park up near the Antik Restaurant underwent a makeover in the summer and a new building - yet to be identified - has started going up opposite.
Marmaris is getting more "Christmassy". There was a Christmas market in Marmaris just before Christmas and a further market sprung up on Boxing Day in the main square.
Weather wise - other than the last week of November the weather has been glorious though the temperatures have plummeted by New Year's Eve. That didn't seem to affect the celebrations which went on in Marmaris and - slightly more muted - here in Turunç.
