Our daughter was desperate to go on the jeep safari so we booked it for her.  We were picked up outside the booking office at 8.30am in one of the jeeps and taken on to Marmaris where we joined the rest of our party. There were four jeeps in our party with 10 people on each one and there were lots of water bottles on board to fill the water guns.

We went to an open private area with trees and bushes and rough ground, for the off road driving.  We all lined up in the jeeps and got a chance to hire a water gun for 10TL each, and then the fun began!  Everyone was soaking each other and even the drivers got it.  It was so much fun and the cold water was fab when the sun was so hot.

We drove around the area while still having water fights, the jeeps over-taking each other and the guy from the safari taking photos and video for you to buy at the end.  The water filling station was the next stop, where we filled the water guns and bottles and you had a chance to have your photo taken with a huge snake.  We took back roads to the road side cafe for a quick break.  There was a very cold water shower here that the jeeps drove through and we got soaked again!  There were snacks and drinks you could buy and toilets and showers to use.

We carried on through the main roads till we reached the waterfall (no water guns allowed while on the main roads).  It was quite busy here and we only had 45 minutes to visit the waterfall - it was gorgeous.  We had some photos taken here then we had an ice cream (there was a shop here) and made our way back to the jeeps.  From there we drove to another road side cafe for our lunch, we choose from chicken or meatballs, pasta, salad and bread.  Here we were offered to buy the photos and videos that had been taken on the trip - a bargain at 50TL for both, which we couldn't resist buying.

Our last stop was at the beach that you could walk on water.  A part of the sea was very shallow right to the other side, which you could walk to, and at each side of the sea was much deeper.  There were also water sports you could do for a small charge: we stayed here for about an hour and it was a lovely area.

Then it was time to go home!  We drove though some small villages and got a look at real Turkish life away from the holiday side.  Our driver dropped some of the party at their hotels in Marmaris and we were taken back to Turunç in the jeep.

There is nowhere to keep your belongings so I would advise you take a waterproof bag for your things, and no camera unless it's waterproof.  The jeep safari was a great day out, we arrived back in Turunç about 5 o'clock so we were out all day, and for £20 each I think it's a great price for a full day and lunch and just to see some of the gorgeous sights Turkey has to offer.
