Turunç Diary - March 2023

Well another season is almost upon us.  Spring is definitely in the air with the heady scent of orange blossom, the extremely toxic procession caterpillars are on the march and the sea is covered with pollen.

Visitors this year will be surprised with the amount of building work that has occurred over the winter months.  These include new villas behind Green Garden, villas being built on the old Gökçe Hotel pool (opposite the Antik Restaurant) and a new block opposite the one already being constructed behind the Palette Bar

The new market which was started last year is almost completed.  Once the planting and lights are installed it will look very smart.

Cansu Fashion, which was opposite Şahin restaurant, has relocated to being opposite the Turkish Delight shop.

The bakers has had a makeover.

Vesper Cocktail Bar on the promenade is in the process of renovation.

Halim and Lale who have been delivering your gas and water will be handing the business over to two very well known faces around the village.

The dentist has finally arrived in the village.  Buğra Can can be contacted on Whatsapp or via Facebook.

Turunc Welfare Society were able to privately collect donations to help those evacuated into the village from the earthquake area. Over 50 families were housed in various accommodations in the village.
