Çardak Restaurant opened in 1965 as the first restaurant in Turunç. Over the years it has developed from a small, simple fish restaurant into a tasteful bar-restaurant that serves a variety of dishes from both Turkish and European cuisines specialising in fresh seafood and mezzes from the Aegean region. Owned by several generations of the local Can family through this period, current manager Cavit continues the tradition of providing excellent dining with warm Turkish hospitality.
Çardak Restaurant has an outstanding location right on the harbour front. With its large open terrace, it provides great views and is a popular stop-off for those embarking on or returning from the many boat trips that take place during the summer months. The restaurant itself has a somewhat longer season and is open from March until November and from 08:30 in the morning until late.
To start the day the restaurant offers both Turkish and English-style breakfasts. Light snacks such as salads, burgers, omelettes are available at any time.
A full menu is served throughout the day. It features a wide range of steaks and international-style chicken dishes along with a great selection of traditional Turkish dishes like lamb tandoori, beef kebab, Ottoman chicken wrap and a selection of Çardak special meat or fish casseroles.
Çardak Restaurant is renowned for freshly-caught seafood: grilled octopus, jumbo shrimps, grilled sea bass - just ask your waiter for help in choosing.
To finish, choose from a selection of tasty Turkish desserts such as selection cheesecake, bananas and honey, baklava or a refreshing and healthy fruit plate.
As you would expect, Çardak restaurant serves a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as tea and coffee.
