Opened in 2021, Veranda is a family owned restaurant run by well-known local chef Hasip Tamriş, his wife Ayhan and sons Ömer and Şervan.

The restaurant offers visitors the traditional tastes of an Ottoman kitchen and features interesting twists on familiar dishes somewhat different to other village establishments.

Favourites with diners include mutancana, berry chicken, pomegranate steak, lamb shank, chicken with basil sauce in potato basket and T-Bone steak with asparagus and rosemary.

Portions are generous but save room for some delicious "mum-made" desserts such as cheesecake and, of course, that famous Turkish baked rice pudding - sütlaç.

A good range of wines, beers, cocktails as well as soft drinks and excellent coffee is also available.

Veranda Restaurant is located close to the Migros supermarket and is open for lunch and dinner from April through to October.

This new restaurant has proven to be very popular with village visitors and reservations are advised - conveniently this can be done through the restaurant's Facebook page or by contacting by 'phone or email.
