Introduction Accommodation Bars & RestaurantsTaking its name from the impressive plane (Çınar) tree that once stood outside, Çınar Restaurant is a long-established favourite with visitors to Turunç. Although disease and old age has seen the demise of the impressive tree, Çınar continues to thrive. A restaurant has stood on this spot for over 30 years and current owners - sister and brother Ayşe and Ismet - have been welcoming guests to this family-run restaurant for the past 15+ years.
The restaurant is open from April until October serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks available throughout the day. As well as the traditional Turkish breakfast, Çınar also serves a full English breakfast for anyone missing a taste of home. The lunch/snack selection includes sandwiches, burgers, and a choice of omelettes.
For a relatively small restaurant, Çınar offers guests a surprisingly wide choice of dishes on its full dinner menu. Fish favourites include grilled octopus, fried shrimps, and calamari. The grill selection is very popular featuring lamb chops and a mixed grill for those who find it difficult to make a choice. More traditional Turkish fare includes meat and fish casseroles and the ever-popular Çınar Restaurant special sautés - meat, chicken, fish and liver. There is a small selection of desserts available to round off your meal including the delicious local yoghurt and honey dish - another Çınar special.
Every dish is freshly prepared, tasty - and exceptionally good value.
The restaurant offers a wide selection of alcoholic and soft drinks - and of course tea and coffee.
Çınar Restaurant is just off the main street a few steps from the mosque. Experience what locals and regular visitors have known for years - this is a great little restaurant and not to be missed when dining out in Turunç!
